Sunday, March 22nd     1:00 PM

Thank you for joining us for our "maiden voyage" on YouTube.  I hope you were helped by it.  We learned some things.

First, our new internet provider has a 'narrower' band width, which wouldn't let us use the song list effectively.  That was an unexpected curve ball that we had to deal with.  Lukas sat on the edge of the platform to the left of my feet and found an alternate route while I was speaking.  Next week, hopefully, we can go from one song to another seamlessly.

Second, we need to get used the whole process, and do better at it.  Pray for all of us.

Again, thank you for joining us.  If it was a blessing please invite others and inform them how to take part.  Also we may set up the online giving capability of the website.  If you prefer you can just use the old Post Office option.  The address is P.O Box 357, Angelica, NY   14709.  Above all remember and use God's Hebrews 4.16 address !

Sincerely in Christ,  Pastor David Ford   (Hebrews 12.1-3)

COVID 19 RESPONSE UPDATE                     Friday, March 20th   2:00 PM

We will not be having any Sunday services at our church this Sunday (March 22nd) due to developments over the past two days.

However we will attempt to broadcast a Worship Service on YouTube at 11:00 AM (“Angelica Baptist”).

The President’s Guidelines in “15 days to slow the spread” say-

“Listen to and follow the directions of your State and Local authorities,” and “Avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people.”

This morning our governor enacted “NYS on Pause, ”  (policies that assure uniform safety for everyone).

WRGB in Albany reported “in new guidelines, the governor says that all non-essential gatherings are cancelled…there will be a fine and mandatory closure for any business not in compliance."

As we said two days ago, we want to do our part to “stop the spread” so we all can get back to our normal routines ASAP.

At this point it is not just required for us not to have services, it is also the wise and safe thing to do.

What can we all do in the mean time as Christians?

Pray- for our leaders to have wisdom  to deal with this situation;  for sick people to recover;  for all health care workers to be safe;  for the rest of us to be smart and be conscientious.

Help others in need- in safe ways of course (pick up groceries or prescriptions for them )

Be strong in your faith- have devotions: read your Bible, sing and pray.  Call and text to encourage one another.

Meditate on  John 14.27-  “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world gives, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

We hope to “see” you on YouTube Sunday at 11:00.  Until then- Keep looking UP !

* Please check this site for updates.  I am praying for all of you.

Sincerely in Christ,  Pastor Ford  Hebrews 12.1-3)

Welcome to Angelica Baptist Church! Thanks for checking out our site. We are a group of imperfect people, trying to do what we believe God wants us to do. We think that God and His Word are real and relevant. We try to base our lives and church ministry on what He says in the Bible.

We intend to be a friendly, family-oriented, Christ-centered group of believers  (see About Us).

For a smaller church of about 100, we are an active church with a variety of ministries and a good missions program (see Ministries and Missions). We recognize our need for improvement and are constantly working on that. One area of recent focus is our community relations (see Community).

We believe in John 3:16- “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
That’s God’s heart and the heart of our message.

Our five-fold mission is delineated by an acronym of “W-O-R-L-D":

W- Worshiping God
O- Obeying His Word
R- Reaching the lost
L- Loving each other
D- Discipling believers.

Last year God gave us some new faces from Angelica that became a part of our church family. We are hoping, praying, and working for more in 2020. We invite you to attend a Morning Service in person and see for yourself what we are. It’s better to draw your own conclusions than to go by secondhand information. Visitors usually find us to be friendly and feel right at home. We look forward to meeting you.

Come and grow with us!

David Ford, Pastor
